Our trusted postnatal doula team are not only mothers themselves, but have also all undergone specialist training in their own area of expertise.
Our postnatal doula support service is priceless to many couples in the early weeks of welcoming a new baby. Our team will offer you emotional, physical and informational support as you come to terms with your new roles as parents, and whilst you learn the basics of looking after your baby. Your doula will come to your home and look after you – enabling you to rest, recover and get back to normal, whilst you adapt to life with a newborn.
Our doulas usually visit for a minimum of 3 hours, and our services are available as a “one off” or as part of a package that is adjusted to suit your needs. We can provide support at any point during the postnatal period, and can be with you as early as day 2/3.
Many couples ask us to provide this support when the partner returns to work so that she is able to ease into her new role – and is especially popular following a multiple birth, or caesarean section when the mother may need extra physical support to care for herself and her baby. We are also able to provide overnight cover.
This one off visit is 90 minutes long, and is one of our most popular services. Many mums feel like giving up with feeding due to insecurities in the early days – with our support most will go on to feed their babies for many months to come. One of our breastfeeding supporters will come to your own home and help you to iron out any issues you may have with latch or positioning. We will offer reassurance to mum if feeding is going well, and suggest possible self help techniques that may help increase milk supply and reduce anxiety for both mum and dad. Our supporters are able to identify when further specialist help is required and will signpost you to our recommended outside agencies if necessary.

Our unique “Bumps to Babes” Coffee group offers an invaluable opportunity for pregnant women and mums with young babies to come along and meet each other. The early months can be an isolating time, so we give you the chance to chat to other mums with newborns to gain support and advice. We aim to facilitate a group discussion each week, addressing common concerns and issues of new parenting, which our mums find incredibly beneficial. Many life long friendships are made through attending our weekly drop-ins, and you will also be invited to join our closed Facebook group for 24/7 support.
Drop In sessions
These relaxing sessions will not only show you how to massage your baby, it will also allow you the time and space to nurture yourself, meet other mums, and share information on the experience of bringing up a baby. Baby massage promotes good circulation and digestion, so it is very beneficial in relieving colic, wind, crying, teething, sleeplessness and fractiousness. It stimulates the baby’s physical growth and development, and helps you to feel more confident understanding your babies body language.
These sessions include membership to our weekly coffee group for the duration of the course.
